Arsenal News – WORLD CLASS Defensive Star Flies In For Medical, Wenger Confirm Deal Is ON
Italian media reports emerging recently indicate that out-of-favour Arsenal and Poland goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny is finally on the verge of completing a season-long loan move away from the Emirates.
Having fallen down the pecking order at the club due to the arrival of world-cup sensation David Ospina, the player allegedly wants to seek greener pastures to help his seemingly dwindling career. The recent arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea recently further thrust the player’s future at North London deeper into uncertainty, and reports state that now Arsene Wenger is even on the lookout for a potential replacement.
A number of clubs had already begun indicating interest in the player’s services since the start of the season; both on temporary and on permanent basis. However, recent occurences show that Italian clubside, AS Roma, are now all but whiskers away from capturing him. Media reports state that talks between both clubs have held, and the player has allegedly agreed to a loan-move, and is set to undergo a medical soonest.
Having made his debut for the club first-team back in 2009, Szczesny has played 132 games in Arsenal colours. Upon passing a medical, he would now join up with ex-gunners Ashley Cole and Gervinho at AS Roma.
