Breaking News – Latest Development on Granit Xhaka Transfer to Arsenal

Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka, who has been on Arsenal’s list of potential players they could sign, is no longer an available option for the Gunners. The Switzerland international could be signed by Arsenal provided they made a bid strong enough to force Monchengladbach to sell the midfielder, according to Monchengladbach’s sporting director, Max Eberl.

However, the 23-year-old has a valuation of £37.6 million and Arsenal also face competition from Chelsea for Xhaka, according to German newspaper Bild. There are reports that Liverpool is also in the race and the three Premier League clubs would have to battle it out, which means the price could only get higher.

Seeing the transfer window is halfway into its timeline, and there have been no official bids made, Xhaka might stay at Monchengladbach, until the end of the season at the very least. Only the right price, a certain success of the club, and player’s own performance could determine his destination in the coming weeks.

According to Independent, Eberl said, ‘There are always situations where every club has to think of each option. It [a possible sale of Xhaka] depends partly on our sporting success. It depends on the performances of Granit and of course on the price.’
