Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny believed that the Gunner’s home form this season is very important to their hopes of winning the title this season.
Arsenal will be hosting their London rivals, Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium today as they look set to get back at the top of the Premier League after Leicester City displaced them following a 3-0 win over Stoke city.
Koscielny looks set to help Arsenal defeat Chelsea, who are the reigning Barclays Premier League champions, at the Emirates Stadium this Sunday afternoon.
The French defender believes Arsenals form at their grounds will be very important.
Speaking via the club’s website, Koscielny said: ‘If you want to win the Premier League, you need to win all your home games,’
“Our seven away games will be very difficult because we play against Man City, Man United, Tottenham, West Ham, Everton, so we need to do the job well at home so we have the points.”
So far, West Ham are the only Premier League club that has managed a victory at the Emirate this term, winning on the opening day of the campaign.
Koscielny believes that Arsenal shouldn’t be carried away with their current position in the League and should work hard to achieve the success that awaits them.
“We take each game and we will see,” he said.
“We want to play and win all games. We are in a period where we play many different competitions, we play the Champions League, the FA Cup, and Premier League.
“In February, March, we will have Champions League so we need to take it game by game and that’s it.”
A victory over the Blues today will almost surely keep Arsenal at the top of the Premier League while their seek to win a third successive FA Cup sees them host Burnley next weekend.
