BULLISH Wenger Tables £50m Bid For WORLD Class UCL Winner – Not Benzema

In what has been a very disappointing transfer window for Arsenal so far, recent reports coming out from Germany puts Arsenal’s transfer window into further disappointment. It was revealed that Arsene Wenger plotted a £50 million move for either of Bayern Munich duo Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandoski but unfortunately for the Frenchman Bayern Munich denied the availability of both players.

Arsenal were hoping Guardiola’s new approach of things at Bayern would prompt either of the two players to want to leave Munich but however Bayern Munich have stated clearly to Arsenal that none of the above named players is for sale. This turn out of events coupled along with the limited number of quality strikers available in the market has forced Arsene Wenger to turn his sights to Real Madrid’s striker Karim Benzema.

It is no news that Arsene Wenger has been in the market for a world class striker with the likes of Higuain  Cavani , Benzema, Lewandoski all heavily linked to a move to the Emirates but Arsenal have had no luck so far in their pursuit. Arsenal have been trying effortlessly to sign Karim Benzema but Real Madrid have maintained their stance of not selling the French Striker.

However, stories erupted last week that Benzema was set for a medical at Arsenal ahead of a £40 million move which turned out to be false just like earlier reports about the deal. Whether Karim Benzema will end up an Arsenal player before the window closes, only time would tell. However with the number of forwards present in the team, it seems unlikely that Arsene Wenger will add a striker to his current roster of players except he sells.
