Carlo Ancelotti To Become Liverpool Manager Not Jurgen Klopp

Former Manchester United Johnny Giles has voiced his belief that ex-Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is better suited to Liverpool than erstwhile Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, as per the Irish Herald.

Speculations have started gathering pace about Brendan Rodgers’ potential replacement following the club’s unimpressive start to the Premier League campaign, which has seen them take just 11 points out of a possible 21 this term.

Klopp has been heavily linked with the managerial position at Liverpool and according to the Daily Mail, the German boss has stated that he would only consider taking up the position if the club’s transfer in under his own control.

This is why Giles thinks Ancelotti would be better suited to the Anfield position with the club supremos baulking at Klopp’s demands.

In his column for thee Herald, Giles said: “Carlo Ancelotti would be a better fit for John Henry but even if the Italian has always accepted the players he has been given, he has worked with anything but the very best players and I’m not sure you could say that Liverpool have many of them in their squad.”

Ancelotti may be used to others dictating the club’s transfers, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez being in charge of ins and outs at the club during the Italian boss’ spell at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Also, Ancelotti is suitably one of the world’s best managers and has won trophies at every club he has been at – AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid – since becoming the boss of Serie A giants Juventus in 1999.
