Ramires will not be quitting Stamford Bridge this season it appears. The Brazilian is set to renew his deal with the London club as reported by the Daily Mail. Despite not playing much last season, the defensive midfielder will be persuaded not to leave the Stamford bridge.
And the report attributes the reason to the fact that John Mikel has stated his desire to leave and the club cannot afford to lose Ramires as well. Also the report claims that Jose Mourinho is impressed by Ramires attitude and is loathe to lose him.
Chelsea are said to be prepared to offer him improved deal to sign him on a long term with his current deal set to expire in two years’ time. Chelsea fans will be happy to hear the news as he has been a phenomenal figure since joining in 2010, and has been a faithful servant of the club.
He has been through the thick and thin with the club and has won virtually all trophies that can be won both in the domestic league and in Europe at large. With Chelsea keen on consolidating on their title winning season, the manager will certainly want tried and trusted hands around to help him in his quest to go one further as the club looks towards next season.
