Chelsea Star Diego Costa Offered To Real Madrid: Report
Spanish journalist, Francois Gallardo has claimed that Chelsea forward, Diego Costa could be on his way back to his adopted country, as he is being offered to Real Madrid. The 26 year-old arrived from Atletico Madrid last Summer for 32 million Pounds, and helped Chelsea to the title win with 20 goals.
But the reports say he isn’t finding life at England comfortable, and will like to return to the La Liga as a result of him being homesick. The Brazil-born hefty striker however refuted such claims thus,
“I love it, the fans love me, and I want to stay. It’s really good to come in the first season and win two things [the League title and the Capital One Cup]. Next year I’ll be ready to come back and, hopefully, win a couple more trophies.”
A move to Real Madrid looks awkward by all standards, as the bitter rivalry between both Madrid clubs will continually make him unsettled if he opts for a move to the Bernabeu. With Drogba out of the Stamford bridge following a brilliant 2nd stint, Chelsea will be looking at bringing in a new striker.
AS Monaco striker, Radamel Falcao is said to be top on Mourinho’s list as replacement, and with Costa’s frequent injuries problems, the Colombian forward could get the starting berth ahead of him, although this remains most unlikely.
Chelsea chances of selling Costa is also very unlikely, as he is in the mould of the perfect Blues’ forward. His contributions will be banked upon for the next season as Chelsea will be hoping to retain the title and try to win the Champions League.
