Chelsea’s Technical Director Travelled to Sign Supertalent, Club’s Manager Speaks Out on the Transfer

Chelsea have had a great offer for young goalkeeper Adrian Semper rejected by Dinamo Zagreb. Dinamo Zagreb manager Zoran Mamic has confirmed that Chelsea have had a very tempting offer knocked back for the 18-year-old goalkeeper.

According to reports in Croatia, a £3.1 Million offer had been made for the 18-year-old who has been followed by the Blues.

The Blues have been scouring Europe and trying to scoop up the best youngsters for some time now, however, it appears as though they have missed out on this young goalkeeper. Dinamo Zagreb manager Zoran Mamic has revealed that talks with the west London club is at an end and the 18-year-old goalkeeper is staying at the Croatian club.

Manager Zoran Mamic said: “For the last few days, Chelsea representatives have been in Zagreb, where they have prepared – I must admit – a great offer for Adrian Semper.

“We thanked them. They were highly professional and pleasant people, but we said no.

“It is never easy to reject such a big offer for a young player, but we are convinced Adrian has a fantastic future ahead of him and we want him to spend at least some of that future with Dinamo.”

It was reported earlier last week that Chelsea’s technical director, Michael Emenalo, travelled to Croatia in order to open talks for the highly-rated goalkeeper.

According to reports in Croatia, the 18-year-old is set to male first-team appearance for the Croatian champions but has featured prominently in the UEFA Youth League this term, playing against young talents from the like of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
