Confirmed – £185,000-A-Week Star Will Be At Chelsea Next Season
Belgian and Chelsea’s playmaker Eden Hazard has again stated his desire to stay at Chelsea for a long time to come.
This should come as a good news to the ears of Chelsea supporters after the player has been long linked to several European clubs. Notably among them is French Mega rich Paris Saint-Germain. PSG was said to have made enquiry to the player’s availability but were turned down by Chelsea in the summer.
The former Lille of France has come out to state he wants to stay at Chelsea and continue to develop under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho. Hazard believes Chelsea is one of the biggest club where he will have the opportunity to win trophies.
He said “I’m in one of the best clubs in the world and I can win every trophy because we have a very strong team. I don’t want to leave,”
He also spoke about his much talk about fall-out and relationship with Jose Mourinho.
“Last season I did some mistakes but we [he and Mourinho] are friends. Not only for the football but outside the pitch we speak together and he gives me a lot of confidence and it’s always a pleasure to play for him.” Hazard said.
Speaking about his new role at Chelsea this season and the impact of summer acquisitions like Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa Hazard said;
“It’s different to last season. I have a lot of freedom now because I remember last season a lot of games one, two or three players were against me, and now it’s different because they have to take Costa or Fabregas, not just me.”
“If I want to be one of the best I need to be in one of the best teams. I need help, I need a good team and that is what I have here.”
It is good to hear Hazard speak about the team in glowing terms. His declaration to stay at Chelsea will endear him the more to the heart of the fans. He has played a key role in propelling Chelsea to the summit of the league table. He has played in all of Chelsea’s nine games in the Premier league and Champions league scoring 2goals and 2assists.
At just 23, Hazard has already been tipped as one of the best player around the world. The Belgian joined Chelsea from Lille of France in the summer of 2012 shortly after the club won its first and only Uefa champion’s league trophy.
He already won Chelsea Player of the Year award last season, nominated for the PFA player of the year 2014 and named in the PFA team of the year 2014. He will continue to work hard to live up to the claims of the Special One that he is ‘one of the best players in the world’.
