Confirmed – POWERFUL 6FT 0″ Defender COMPLETES Chelsea Transfer, Done & Dust
Chelsea has officially announced that promising central defender Tomas Kalas will spend the rest of 2015/2016 football season on loan at championship club Middlesbrough.
Kalas is part of Chelsea’s infamous loan army that gets farmed out to different clubs to get important first-team experience and either get integrated into the first team after considerable improvement in their abilities (Courtois) or get sold on for a profit (De Bruyne).
Kalas a Czech Under-21 international had made 17 appearances for Middlesbrough last term as he joined fellow Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo on loan in the January transfer window.
“I’d already decided at the end of last season that if Chelsea would like to get me on loan again, this would be my first choice, so it was easy when I heard I could stay. Its been easy to adapt because I know the lads. I know Marbella because we came here last year so its been easy. I think we’re still building the team. It is a mix of everything. Everyone is still working on it and I think we will be stronger than before”, he said.
Tomas Kalas signed the dotted lines of the deal in Spain and joins the squad for pre-season preparations as they try to once again mount a strong challenge for automatic promotion instead of the risky and heartbreaking play-off spots.
Kalas joins new signings Stewart Downing, Jonathan Woodgate and Alex Baptiste.
