Mohamed Elneny belongs to Arsenal as FC Basel, player’s club, revealed that a transfer could be completed in coming days. Elneny missed the club’s training session on Monday. Basel training on Monday following their winter break but Elneny was already in London on medical. FC Basel confirmed that the midfielder did not take part.
“Also absent was Mohamed Elneny, in which there could be a transfer in the coming days,” the Swiss club claimed in a report on their official website.
Elneny will cost Arsenal £7 million and becomes first signing for Arsene Wenger since Petr Cech. Mohamed Elneny has been capped 39 times by Egypt, and has scored 4 goals in 21 appearances for Basel this season.
