Di Maria Completes PSG Medical

Ligue 1 giants, Paris Saint Germain have finally secured the signature of Argentina international, Angel Di Maria. The 27 year-old winger has been in speculations of recent concerning a move away from the Old Trafford after failing to impress and adapt to EPL football in the just concluded season. The former Real Madrid winger arrived England last summer to a great hype, after having cost the Red Devils a whopping £59.7 million Pounds; a British transfer record fees. However, he didn’t live up to the hype, and he couldn’t break into Van Gaal’s starting lineup.

A move away from United was always in the books, and he has undergone medicals for PSG after completing a 44-million Pound move. The official handle of Aspetar, Qatar-based sports medicine hospital where he undertook complete medial assessment tweeted,

The transfer is however a win-win situation for both club and player, as Di Maria is guaranteed more playing time with the French League Champions, as he will definitely quickly adapt to the style of play in France, and United wouldn’t have lost completely, as they are still able to smile to the bank with 44 million Pounds. He had failed to join the United squad after the Copa America, confirming speculations he was likely to leave.

United are already in the process of adding needed strength to the squad. They have secured the services of PSV winger, Memphis Depay, Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger and Southampton midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin. There are also talks to secure the transfer of Pedro from Barcelona in order for him to replace the departed Di Maria. The Spain international is currently deemed surplus to requirements at Nou Camp, and has been seen a perfect fit for the gone Argentine.
