Goal Against Liverpool Goes Viral, Football World Reacts to Another Loss for Jurgen Klopp

Jamie Vardy has indeed become the talk of Premier League, following his spectacular Man of the Match performance at the Kings Power Stadium on Tuesday as his side beat Liverpool 2-0 in yet another Premier League fixture.

The Tuesday’s win against Liverpool has continued to nourish the Foxes hopes of winning their first ever Premier League title.

Vardy, who is reportedly in talks with the Foxes to extend his contract, has reached 18 Barclays Premier League goals for the season to underline his importance to Claudio Ranieri and help prove outstanding Leicester’s title credentials.

The England striker scored twice – including a specular effort – as Leicester recorded their fourteenth win of the season and maintain their grip on the top of the Barclay’s Premier League table.

The forward’s brilliant brace maintained Leicester’s three point lead over Manchester City – ahead of their top-of-the-table showdown on Saturday.

The 29-year-old has never scored a Premier League goal outside his first 21 top-flight attempts.

He let Riyad Mahrez’s long ball bounce before smashing it over Liverpool goalkeeper Mignolet. After the match he revealed he had seen the keeper stray off his line on earlier occasions and decide to try his luck.

According to the Independent, Moan of the Match: “Liverpool were a shadow of what Jürgen Klopp would expect for the money the Reds have spent before his arrival. Dejan Lovren was given the runaround by Vardy and substitute Christian Benteke, only called upon after Liverpool had fallen behind, was anonymous. There needs to be a serious rebuilding job by Klopp to get the Reds challenging again.”

Speaking about Vardy’s spectacular performance, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri said: “Amazing. The first goal was unbelievable. Jamie is very fast and can create a lot but it was unbelievable how Mahrez found him and how he had the time to see the keeper out of the goal and score a fantastic goal.”
