Loic Remy’s Injury Have Speed Up Alexandre Pato Transfer, Superstar Should Start Against Arsenal this Sunday

Chelsea lost their star striker Diego Costa to a shin injury in the 3-3 draw with Everton and now face the prospect of Loic Remy leading their lines in the upcoming league game against Arsenal.

The Telegraph are reporting that the Blues have speed up their efforts to sign Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato as they want him in the team that travels to Emirates Stadium next weekend.

The Blues have been strongly linked with the former AC Milan striker, but a possible move for the player hasn’t been indicated by any official authorities.

Instead manager Guus Hiddink recently played down the rumours linking the club with the move for the player: “We have Diego [Costa], Loïc Rémy is back from injury, and we have youngsters to fill gap, so we are not in that [Alexandre Pato deal] at the moment.”

But Costa’s injury might force him to change his stance. Corinthians coach, however, recently claimed that the player’s future will be sorted in the coming days.

Coach Tite told Globo Esporte: ‘Maybe in two or three days, you journalists will have an answer about Pato. A response from me won’t be needed.’
