Louis Van Gaal Confirms "New" Left Forward Signing Is Done

LVG Blasts His Strikers, Club Will Spend Insane Amount on New Strikers This Winter

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has suggested that he will be looking to bring a striker to Old Trafford in the January Transfer window. The Dutch tactician criticized his strikers following the goalless draw with West Ham yesterday and claimed that the likes of Luis Suarez and Sergio Agüero would have scored goals for the Red Devils in the game.

Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini were particularly guilty of squandering quite decent chances as the Red Devils were held to their fifth goalless draw at Theatre of Dreams this season. “The question is would Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero score if they were here?” Van Gaal said after the game. “That is a question mark. You never know. I think they would, though. I am pleased with the performance but when you create that many chances you have to score,” added the Dutchman. “Scoring is not only about composure but also a lot of luck, in my opinion. I’m not so worried but we need to get over this period. “

Chants of “Attack, attack, attack” rang out from the frustrated sections of fans, but Van Gaal refused to accept that his side played boring football. He added: “My players created a lot more chances than in recent matches but we didn’t do the most important aspect of football. I don’t understand that they are shouting attack, attack, attack because we are the attacking team and not West Ham United.”

Van Gaal’s admission of lacking potent strikers in his team suggests that the Red Devils will be actively looking for a striker in the transfer window. Le’Equipe reports suggest that PSG have already given an indication that they would allow Édinson Cavani to join the Red Devils for a fee of £32 million.

And Daily Star are reporting that Man Utd are lining up a ridiculous £50 million bid for Tottenham ace Harry Kane. The report went on to say that the fee might not be enough to persuade Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to do the business.

United are also reportedly interested in Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy. Daily star have reported that Man Utd are set to compete with La Liga club Valencia for the signature of the £25 million rated star in January.
