Manchester United Makes OFFICIAL Contact With £29m Star’s Agent, January Move On The Card

With a lack of finishing quality in the final third, United are keen to add more attacking options to the squad once the transfer window reopens by January for the winter business, and one player that has consistently been talked about is Hakan Çalhanoğlu. The Turkey international Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has continued to attract offers from many European elite sides for his splendid attacking qualities, with AC Milan and Barcelona at the fore. At just 21, he is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the tough Bundesliga League.

But ahead of an Italian or Spanish move, Hakan has expressed preference for an EPL move, with United ready to snap him up for up to 29 million Pounds, which is his buyout clause from the German side after just recently putting pen to paper for a new 4-year extension in contract. The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael Schade has confirmed that the young player, regarded as one of the club’s most prized assets could depart if the release clause is met by the demanding clubs.

Identified in some quarters as the best setpiece taker all across Europe for the consistencies he has shown in converting deadball chances from last season till now, he continues to show why he is a threat to oppositions and Hakan’s qualities are what the Van Gaal-led United team could do with for now. The Red Devils are currently 4th on the log after 12 games, they might have placed much higher if they got more than 1 point each from their last 3 League games which all ended in goalless draws.
