Manchester United Open Talks To Sign KEY Chelsea Target

Following the signature of 19 year-old Anthony Martial on transfer deadline day, and his splendid performance so far, United have stepped up their game of “getting them young ” as they have made move for yet another youngster, Feyenoord’s Tahith Chong. The Dutch 15 year-old player is said to be a versatile player upfront as he is able to play as both attacking midfielder and striker. All things been equal, he will be signed officially by January as he would have turned 16 by then. United would have successfully beat Chelsea to his signature once that happens.

Chong caught the eyes of United’s scouts and youth coaches during the Premier Cup competitions held at Carrington in July. And he would be bought for free due to his age, although compensation will likely be given to the Netherlands’ club for grooming him. He is set to join the club’s youth academy and system once he completes his move. Making him the 2nd Dutch youngster to join the Red Devils since the arrival of LVG in 2014. Timothy Fosu-Mensah being the 1st when he came in from Ajax last September.

Having shown faith in academy players by fielding  Paddy McNair and Andreas Pereira, Van Gaal will definitely bring Chong on board to first team provided he shows talents and potentials, and such assurance is definitely going to help the teenage sensation’s decision to pitch his tent at Old Trafford. 5 under-21 players have featured for the side already this season, and the Netherlands U-16 international could join the ranks anytime soon.
