Manchester United Plan January Spending Spree

The Old Trafford outfit have confirmed that they will rebuild in their efforts of buying and investing in player “accordingly”, this is according to Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan.

Since the appointment of Dutch tactician Louis Van Gaal, United have become one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League – last season United spent over £100 million on players and they spent a little above half of that sum.

MUFC “say players are something we will continue to invest in accordingly” this Mike Keegan said via his official twitter account.

The biggest surprise of the summer was United acquisition of Anthony Martial for £36 million. at 19-years, his price tag has made him the most expensive teenager in the history of football.

However, the former Monaco boy and France international had an impressive debut for United, he scored a brilliant goal against Liverpool with a solo effort.

Following their victory of Liverpool, United were brewing with so much confidence but they failed to replicate similar performance in their Champions League match against PSV on Tuesday.

United were heavily linked with several centre backs including Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Ottamendi  but non of the deals materials. Ramos extended his contract with the Los Blancos while Ottamendi opted to join Manchester City.

Following Luke Shaw’s injury, United have started to search for a make-shift replacement as they are thin in defense given their number.
