Mauro Icardi Speaks on Man Utd Transfer, Club Ready to Sell Striker if They Fail to Qualify for UCL
Man Utd have been linked with a move for Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi recently. The reports have claimed that the Argentine forward has fallen out with Inter manager Roberto Mancini and is eager to leave the club in the summer.
Subsequently, reports linked Man Utd and Liverpool with a summer move for the 22-year old. Liverpool also reportedly failed with a transfer deadline day £22.7 million bid for the player.
However, the player has poured cold water on Man Utd plans by claiming that he is perfectly happy at Inter and he no problems with Mancini.
He also added that he is even ready to turn United’s advances to stay at Inter.
He told Italian publication Corriere dello Sport in an interview: “I want to stay at Inter at all costs. I am also ready to reject Manchester United. With Mancini there’s no problem, we will do well.”
Icardi has scored ten goals in 21 Serie A games this season. He was Serie A’s top scorer with 22 goals last season.
However, another Italian publication, Tuttosport, claims Inter Milan will accept £35m ofer for Mauro Icardi if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Inter Milan is currently at 4th place just one point behind Fiorentina.
