Mourinho is in Italy Finishing First Deal for United, Mauro Icardi to be Swapped for Matteo Darmian
Jose Mourinho plans to bring Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi to Old Trafford once he takes over the charge at the club.
The former Chelsea has been heavily linked with the United job, and the recent reports have suggested that he wants to bring the Argentine to Premier League.
The Portuguese manager is expected to visit Inter Milan this Saturday, and Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claims that he will be discussing a possibility to sign the 22-year old.
The report further claims that Inter manager Roberto Mancini is ready to let Icardi leave the club, but he wants United full-back Matteo Darmian in return.
Inter’s honorary president Massimo Moratti confirmed today that the Portuguese manager will be present at San Siro for the Saturday’s fixture against Sampdoria.
He said: “I think Mourinho will be at San Siro on Saturday evening. A gift for the fans? It’s him who likes to come to Milan.
“He’s in the history of the Nerazzurri, and his presence further strengthens the club. We’d scheduled a lunch either here or in London, and we took the opportunity of the Sampdoria match to see each other.”
Seems like Louis van Gaal days at Manchester United are really over.
