PAPY DJILOBODJI Leaving Chelsea

PERSONAL TERMS AGREED – Club to Announce Deal for 6 ft 4″ Defender Within Hours

In another transfer update, French publication L’Equipe claim that Chelsea and Bundesliga club Stuttgart are in discussions over the future of Blues defender Papy Djilobodji.

The Blues signed the Senegalese defender from Ligue 1 club Nantes on a four-year deal for a fee of around £3million on transfer deadline day.

Djilobodji arrived as a desperate signing after the Blues failed to sign Everton defender John Stones. Former manager Jose Mourinho claimed that he was not aware of the arrival of the 27-year old.

He has failed to make any kind of impact for the Blues, and he is yet to make a league appearance since his arrival. He’s eager to play first-team football, and the Blues have agreed to provide him an escape route from his situation at Stamford Bridge.

According to the report, Stuttgart are discussing an 18-month loan deal for the player and barring any last-minute hitches a deal should be announced soon.
