Manchester  United fans who are still very much hopeful about the return of Cristano Ronaldo to United will be delighted with the recent claims by French journalist Hermel. Hermel has reportedly claimed that the Red Devils stand a great chance of landing Cristano Ronaldo in what is expected to be a major deal.

The 30 year old was linked with a move away from Madrid this summer as it seemed like Gareth Bale was going to feature prominently in Rafa Benitez plans ahead of Cristano Ronaldo. Clubs like PSG , Manchester United and MLS outfits were all hot on the heels of a potential Ronaldo deal but nothing materialised at the end of the day.

However Hermel believes that despite Ronaldo’s enormous release clause, Manchester can still pull off the deal. Hermel told French paper Le 10 Sport “I think that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season,.”I have information that confirms this. “I’ve been told by strong sources, very important ones, that Manchester [United], Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS have a great chance of fighting over Cristiano Ronaldo’s services at the end of the season.”

The 30 year old joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 for a then world record fee of 80 million pounds. In just 6 years of joining Real Madrid, the Portuguese has broken several records at Madrid and he is on course to break Raul’s all time goal scoring record.
