Shock – Liverpool Hijacks Chelsea for Alexandre Pato in the Last Minute, Pato’s Agent Confirms the News

There is a new development in Chelsea’s pursuit of Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato.

Reports claimed yesterday that Chelsea have reached a verbal argument to bring the 26-year old to Stamford Bridge. Then there were conflicting reports today that Chelsea are still not close to agreeing on a deal for the former AC Milan striker.

Now 26-year-old’s representative, Gilmar Veloz has revealed that Chelsea are interested in the services of his client, but an offer for the player is still forthcoming.

“The guys are working on getting an offer, but nothing Corinthians are yet to receive one,” Veloz told UOL Esporte.

“The January market is very limited.

When asked which teams are interested in the services of his client, Veloz replied: “Chelsea, Liverpool, Sporting and Benfica. All four have a chance.”

So it appears that it’s a four-way battle for the player who was considered a has-been not so long ago in the past.
