After Scoring 20 Goals in 24 Games Last Season, Spaniard Set For SHOCK Chelsea Transfer

About 10 days ago, a few photographs of Diego Costa in Ibiza surfaced on the Internet. This happened just after the 2-2 draw to Swansea City, a game in which Diego Costa returned to action after a few fitness problems relating to his hamstring. It was a surprise to see the Brazilian/Spaniard in Ibiza instead of training with Chelsea especially as Chelsea’s next match was a very important clash against Manchester City.

According to a report by Marca yesterday, a pro Madrid paper, Diego Costa used the opportunity of the trip to have an informal meeting with Atletico Madrid’s CEO Angel Gil with a view to returning back to the club next summer.

According to the report, Diego Costa is keen on a return to Atletico Madrid and he is just testing the waters. Marca went further to state that super agent Jorge Mendes has been brought into the deal but the agent was quick to down play the thoughts of any move this summer. Next summer maybe?

According to Marca, Diego costa is not comfortable with life in England, doesn’t like the premier league and wants out of Chelsea due to a supposed fitness related disagreement with Jose Mourinho. However, it is said that Chelsea will not consider any sale this summer and that Atletico Madrid themselves are not ready to make that move having bought Jackson Martinez and Luciano Vietto this summer.

According to the paper, Diego Costa would consider a change of scenery next summer unless of course there is a “radical change” Diego Costa will not be a Chelsea player come the end of next summer’s transfer window.
