After United Offered £200,000-A-Week, €40m Deal For Defensive Star Nears Completion

The unending transfer drama between Manchester United and Real Madrid is closely coming to an end as a solution to this saga has been found.

As reported by Spanish newspaper el confidential, Real Madrid are willing to match the asking price of €40m for United’s Devid de Gea. Manchester United reportedly offered De Gea £200,000 a week but the Spaniard turned it down preferring to instead return home.

The Los Blancos president Florentino Perez, has reported taken the responsibility to ensuring that the Spain born goal is brought over to his country but United are unwilling to listen to any offer below his 40m valuation.

The 24-year-old has been open about his desire to wear the gloves for Real Madrid. A club he has been following from childhood. With the current happening, Louis van Gaal is in no position to decide the keeper’s fate.

The Keeper was left out of United’s first match of the season against Spurs on Saturday, as Louis Van Gaal explained that the player wasn’t mentally fit for the game. But he has been training with United’s first team and has been treated fairly and professionally according reports.

However, another newspaper from Spain, ABC, is claiming that Real Madrid have issued an ultimatum to United over the transfer. The Spanish giants are willing to pay €25m then €5m add on subsequently and it’s up to the Red Devils to accept.

It is understood that Jorges Mendes, the agent of De Gea, is in talks with both clubs and a deal is in the offing.
