Arsenal News Roundup: Phenomenal Striker Is Just A Step Away From The Gunners, Arsene Wenger Is In Private Talks With Attacker

Arsenal are in desperate need of a good striker at the moment and the search for a good striker has been on at the Emirates for a long time with the North-London not having any luck in that regards as Arsenal again try to hijack European giants bid for big name finisher!

Different British media outlets were agog with news about strikers such as Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Arsenal but none of them materialised but Arsene Wenger is determined to increase the offensive options at the club, especially in the absence of Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott.

According to sources, the Gunners will enter the race with Liverpool and La Liga giants Barcelona for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The-26-year old Gabon international striker has been in superb form this season, scoring 20 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.

The Gunners are said to be ready to launch at around 55m bid For Aubameyang source also revealed.

Arsene Wenger is in negotiations with the versatile finisher and might have to fight it out for his signature with Manchester United and Manchester City.

The Gunners are leading the table, but because of injuries it will be very hard to secure the first position without any good striker and fans must be frustrated at this already.

Sources from Italy have also revealed that Arsenal are close to completing a deal with Argentine international winger Diego Perotti. The-27-year old attacker joined Serie A side Genoa On 2 July 2014, from Sevilla and has a release clause of £9m, which is the kind of fee that manager Arsenal Wenger likes to hear.

Arsenal are also favourites to complete the-27-year old France international Anthony Modeste deal.

Modeste spent 2 magnificent seasons with 1899 Hoffenheim, where he scored 19 goals in 55 league appearances.

The striker joined Koln On 26 June 2015, and shortly became the key player in the offensive line up. Modeste has already scored 6 goals in 9 league appearances for Koln this season and could be a good addition to the Arsenal squad.
