Done Deal – £80,000-A-Week Manchester United Target Signs Two Years Contract

If reports in the Italian media is anything to go by this morning, then Manchester United might have lost out on yet another transfer target. According to a report by high rated Italian media out let Tuttomercatoweb, Manchester United target Nigel De Jong has put pen to paper on a new contract with AC Milan.

The Dutchman would have join Manchester United as a free agent at the end of the month since his contract with Milan ends on June 30 but he has instead chose to remain with the Italian instead of moving back to England.

De Jong, 30, played for three years with Manchester United before moving to Italy. Earlier reports had claimed United boss Louis Van Gaal is keen on bringing in his former national team player to Manchester United to help solidify the red devils’ midfield but just like the Mats Hummels, De Jong won’t play for United next season and LVG may have to look for someone else.

one thing is certain, United is definitely in need of a player in the mould of De Jong ( maybe without the reckless tackles ). Those who keenly watched United last season will see how much the team struggled whenever Michael Carrick is out injured or suspended hence ED Woodward and Louis Van Gaal must do all thats possible to bring in someone who is capable of playing the Carrick role.

Fellaini, Blind and Herrera have all proved that they can’t be trusted with that role.
