Done Deal – Chelsea Target Signs, Will Wear Number 23, Announcement Imminent

That Chelsea need another defensive midfielder or at least someone who is versatile enough to play the defensive midfield role along side other roles for the club is an understatement. A lot of midfielder has been linked to Chelsea in the last few weeks, one of them being Arturo Vidal of Juventus of Italy.

However, Chelsea fans who are hoping the player will join their club this summer need to bury the thought as soon as possible as if you believe reports from Spanish media out let El Mercurio, is anything to go by, the player has signed for Real Madrid and it is only a matter of time before the deal is made official.

According to the report by El Mercurio, Real Madrid and Juventus have an agreement in place and the player has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid. The paper went further to state the player will be given the number 23 shirt by Real Madrid next season.

If true, this will be a massive blow to Jose Mourinho especially as John Obi Mikel who is the other player aside Matic who plays the defensive midfield role is reportedly set to leave the club this summer with another Turkish side, Fenerbahce, reportedly set to sign him.
