Done Deal – Pedro Rodriguez To Arrive At Stamford Bridge For Medicals

Despite publicly stating that Chelsea would have little or no business in the transfer window, reports state that Coach Jose Mourinho may make a shock move for Spain and Barcelona forward, Pedro. According to reports, the deal is practically done and the player will under go medicals this week.

Following the arrivals of superstars Neymar and Luis Suarez as well as Ivan Rakitic at the Camp Nou, the 27 year-old Spaniard has slid down the pecking order; managing only a few appearances for the club last term. Reports state that he is unhappy with his current status, and seeks a move away.

It remains to be unknown, where a player like Pedro will fit into the current Chelsea squad. With the likes of the evergreen Hazard, Willian, Oscar and Ramires all looking in good shape, the Special one will surely have a headache of selecting his best players on the flanks.

Elsewhere, Chelsea and Nigeria midfielder, John Mikel Obi is closing in on a move to the Turkish league. Like Pedro, the arrivals of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic greatly reduced his playing time at the Bridge. Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are among the clubs jostling for his signature. Also Egyptian winger Mohammed Salah is also close to sealing a permanent move away to Italy; as Fiorentina and Inter Milan reportedly keen on acquiring his services.

After capturing Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao, all seems set for Mourinho to announce his second acquisition of the transfer window; after an £8 million deal for Stoke City goalkeeper, Asmir Begovic, was reportedly agreed upon last week.
