DONE!! Man United To ANNOUNCE Transfer Of £120,000-A-Week World Cup Winner

Goalkeeper Victor Valdes’ feud with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has apparently led to the Spaniard’s exit from Old Trafford, with reports claiming a transfer has been agreed between the Red Devils and Besiktas. Van Gaal had said Valdes does not follow the club’s philosophy for his refusal to play for the club’s Under-21. While the Spanish shot-stopper also replied that he was disrespected – he found his jersey transferred to the club’s Under-21 team without notice.

Valdes, 33, is an accomplished goalkeeper, having won all there is to be with Spain and Barcelona. But the United management are furious with him for not wanting to play for the Red Devils’ U-21 side, as even Robin Van Persie and Adnan Janzaj have played there before. The former Barcelona icon is now close to ending his brief spell with United, with Football Arena journalist Ertan Suzgun revealing that Super Lig 1 outfit Besiktas have agreed to sign the Spaniard on a two-year deal with an option for a third, during which Valdes will earn €2m per season.

The Spanish goaltender was offered the chance to train at Man United last October by van Gaal as he recovered from a knee injury. He then signed an 18-month deal with the Red Devils and he would go on to make only two appearances for the team.

Despite United and the Turkish club settling on a transfer for Valdes, manager of Besiktas Senol Gunes still has to make his own decision, as per reports. Senol, an ex-goalie himself, will have to decide on whether he wants the Spaniard and negotiations over personal terms will take place if the manager does.

Besiktas have sold their reserve goalie to bitter rivals Galatasaray on Tuesday and that has freed up a space in their squad for a player in that position – a void Valdes is expected to fill. It is believed a move looks very likely to happen and Valdes will end his miserable spell at Old Trafford.

The arrival of Sergio Romero in the United goal finally signified that Valdes is out of favour and he is now expected to dislodge Zolga Tengin to become the first-choice at Besiktas, if the move is completed. The Argentinian goalkeeper has performed superbly in goal for the Red Devils, and save for Michael Carrick’s own goal in the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge, Romero has been able to prevent teams from scoring against United so far this season.

The uncertainty surrounding future of Valdes’ compatriot David De Gea at Old Trafford is yet to be resolved, following an interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Although van Gaal has stated United would not sell the goalkeeper, it is still likely De Gea – who has been replaced by Romero this season – will join Los Blancos before September 2. The former Atletico Madrid glovesman has reportedly enlisted Jorge Mendes and the super agent who also handles the affairs of several top stars has assured his De Gea that the move will be sorted this week.

Meanwhile, United travel to the Liberty stadium on Saturday to face Swansea City who beat Louis van Gaal’s side in the home and away Premier League fixtures last term.
