Frustrated Edinson Cavani Moving to Old Trafford for £50m, Deal to Be Closed Within Days
Man Utd are plotting a £50m swoop for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edison Cavani, according to ESPN.
The report claims that the Uruguayan striker has become frustrated with his situation at the club as manager Laurent Blanc continues to play Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the centre of the attack.
The player’s camp has reportedly approached the Red Devils and has indicated the club of the player’s desire to move to Premier League. United are now contemplating reigniting their interest in the 28-year old striker.
Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport has also claimed that Manchester United are preparing a huge bid to sign the former Napoli striker this week.
PSG values their striker at £50 million and would be willing to listen to the offers of their asking price is met.
Recently manager Laurent Blanc hinted that the striker will be allowed to leave PSG. He said: “There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour, but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective,” said Blanc.
“I believe that he can score here, but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.”
