Gunners Set to Activate £13.4m Buyout Clause for Barcelona Target, Striker Scored 15 Goals This Season

Premier League front-runners Arsenal are set to activate the release clause of Celta Vigo striker Nolito, according to reports in Spain. Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo claims that the Gunners are set to activate the £13.4m buyout clause for the 29-year old.

The report states that the Spain international is stalling on a new deal with his club and is interested in a transfer move during the January transfer window.

La Liga champions Barcelona are also interested in the player, but according to the report, Gunners are the favourites to sign the player.

Nolito has scored eight goals in 15 appearances for his club this season and will provide able back-up to Olivier Giroud as the Gunners mount the league challenge in the second half of the season.
