Jose Mourinho Identified 1st Signing at United – Team of the Year Midfielder to Join him at Old Trafford

No one really knows whether Jose Mourinho will be taking charge of Man Utd for the next season, but this hasn’t stopped media outlets from reporting on various transfer targets he’s going to pursue once appointed at Old Trafford.

A recent report claims that Jose Mourinho has his sights on AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that Mourinho is set to make the 27-year old his priority signing once he arrives at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese manager is set to receive a huge transfer budget to spend following his appointment at United, and he is willing to spend a large chunk of that amount on Roma’s destructive central midfielder.

The Belgian international signed for Roma from another Italian club Cagliari for a transfer fee of around €9 million in 2014 and since then has been a mainstay of the Rome based team.

He was selected for the Serie A team of the Year for the 2014-15 season. He played a crucial role in Belgium’s Euro qualifying campaign, and he is set to be a part of the national team in the Euros.
According to Harry Redknapp, Jose Mourinho already signed a contract with United and will replace Louis van Gaal this July.
