Liverpool Latest Injury Update – SURPRISING News On Daniel Sturridge Injury

In the penultimate season, Sturridge was handed the striking batten of Liverpool when they sold their reliable goal scorer Luiz Suarez to Barcelona but since the departure of Suarez, Sturridge has struggled to find his footing for the Anfield club not for the reason of form but Injuries.

Last season, the 25-year-old  England international had a terrible campaign as he spent most part of the term being sidelined for injury purpose. He managed a scanty 12 appearances and scored four goals but it is understood that during his appearances, he was still nursing injuries.

The Liverpool forward suffered calf and thigh problems earlier in 2014/2015 season,  but was rushed into action in February as he wasn’t fit, then he subsequently was banjaxed with a hip injury that saw him sidelined throughout last season.

He was moved to America for a corrective surgery and has remained there for rehabilitation. However, there are reports from the USA that he has recovered and started working on the pitch with a ball. He is expected to return to England this week to join his team-mates in training ahead of their subsequent EPL matches.

The Guardian is claiming that Sturridge would be part of the Merseyside team that would take-on Manchester United on the 12th of September in their EPL game. His return is a huge boost for Brenda Rodger’s side that have enjoyed impressive start to this season. Liverpool have won two out of two matches so far this season.
