Magical Woodward – Working On Mega £300,000-A-Week Signing For United
According to the Manchester Evening news, Manchester United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward is quite confident that the Reds Devils will finally land big names at Old Trafford with the January transfer window fast approaching. However, Man United’s fans were previously unsatisfied with Woodwards working style as the club missed out several big targets last summer including the likes of Neymar and Thomas Muller.
“We believe the impact on player profiles around the world by joining Manchester United is very powerful,” he said. Woodward believes that Man United have enough resources to sign players like Neymar JR. and Cristiano Ronaldo. So it seems that Woodward is using the example of Schweinsteiger, who moved to Old trafford from Bayern Munich, as belief that United can sign major stars in the future.
United will be keen on Ronaldo and looking at his current dissatisfaction with Rafa Benitez, this would be the best time to land the Madrid superstar. Ronaldo was named in the three man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or award alongside Neymar and Messi which is set to take place next year. Should the Portuguese star win it again, he would equal Messi’s four Ballon d’Or wins making him and his Argentine counterpart the only players to have won four world player of the year Awards.
