Man United News – Club Officials Flies In To Complete WORLD Cup Star’ s Transfer

Fernerbahce still habour hope of signing Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United this summer, as reported by the Daily Star. The Newspaper reported that the Belgium playmaker has already been told what role he will hold at the club this season following discussions with the Red Devil boss Louis van Gaal.

Fernerbahce’s sporting director Giuliano Terraneo is set to fly to England to hold positive talks with United reps over a possible deal for the 20-year-old. Van Gaal was said to have been impressed by Januzaj’s performance during pre-season tour of USA, so a deal may look unlikely.

Van Gaal said after the game against Barcelona, “I have given him chance in this position and you have to look if he can do that or not, but he has a lot of quality and against Barcelona he showed it for the first time.”

The imminent departure of Angel Di Maria is also a defining factor. With the Argentine set to leave United for PSG the club is eager to hang on to Januzaj.

The young Belgian made 18 league appearances for the Old Trafford outfit last season, 11 of which came from the bench. His limited playing time led to rumours that Januzaj could be on the move.

However, it seems that Januzaj is set to stay at Old Trafford, despite the Turkish club’s interest. Adnan Januzaj created 15 chances in the premier league, and averaged a pass accuracy of 82% last season in the league.
