Manchester United Reach AGREEMENT To Sign Bastian Schweinsteiger

Finally, it appears that Bastian Schweinsteiger will quit the Bavarians for Old Trafford this summer. A move abroad seems to appeal to him as he seeks a new challenge after having spent 17 years at Bayern Munich. An endless quagmire of reports have seen him neither moving away nor staying with German giants Bayern Munich, French newspaper L’Equippe are claiming that the German international has called off talks with Bayern who were keen to renew his contract, so he could move to Manchester United. The paper figures that United are prepared to pay £17.8 million to land their man.

The German has been a key figure at the club and was a part of their treble winning season. Fresh from winning the world cup last year, he had an average season with the club which though saw them win the league, they were disappointing in the Champions League. And with just a year left in his contract, Bastian Schweinsteiger has been told that he can leave the club, though he isn’t being forced out. Should he leave though, Bayern are confident of a replacement for him on ground with Manager Pep Guardiola looking to rely on Javi Martinez and Thago Alcantara.
