In the last few days, Manchester United have been linked with a move for former Chelsea star Kevin De Bruyne, however, from all indication, the player is on his way to Manchester city. According to reports, the player has arrived in Manchester and will undergo a medical with City.
This is after reports emerged that City have tabled a bid of £56 million for the player. According to the reports, the player will become a Manchester City player later today. This means United have lost out on yet another potential signing.
However, considering the price involved, I think United are right to not move for the player. De Bruyne did well in the Bundesliga last season but there is nothing that says he will do well in the premier league especially as he failed woefully at Chelsea before.
Spending £56 million on a player that is not proven is way too risky. With four days to go in the window, Manchester United still have time to spring some surprises in the window.
