Welcome To Stamford Bridge – Chelsea To Sign Antoine Griezmann

According to reports, Brazil and Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis is seeking a move away from Stamford Bridge, despite only arriving in the wake of coach Jose Mourinho’s second stint as Chelsea manager.

The 28 year-old player joined Chelsea from Athletico Madrid only a few years ago, to replace the departed Ashley Cole. However, given the brilliance of Chelsea’s first-choice left-back, Cesar Azpilicueta, Luis was limited to only a few substitute opportunities as Cesar seemed to wax stronger and stronger. With age not so much on his side, the Brazillian has decided to seek a transfer away, and former club Athletico Madrid are tipped as favourites to land their former man.

Chelsea, on the other hand, appear willing to negotiate a transfer for the player, after an uneventful 2014/2015 season which saw him make only over a dozen appearances in all competitions for the Blues. Ex-teammate at Athletico, Koke, has also hinted at the player’s return to the club and expects the move to be wrapped up soonest.

According to reports, Chelsea are trying to use the Brazilian as part of the deal to sign Antoine Griezmann who has constantly been linked with a move to Chelsea in the last few weeks.
