Welcome To The Emirates, UCL Winner To Have Arsenal Medical, Agreement Reached

There appears to be different twists to the transfer saga involving Real Madrid striker’s protracted move to Arsenal. Some reports are claiming the deal has fell through, while others maintain a positive stance that it is a done deal.

One of those who have that positive side in their report is the Express. The media outlet chipped in with reports that Benzema will be announced as an Arsenal player next week, and the north London club will pay Real £48m for the Frenchman’s services.

Italian journalist and Arsenal enthusiast Emanuele Giulianelli had claimed some weeks back that the France international striker will join Arsenal on a four-year deal worth €9m per year, and here he is again, cited by the Express.

The broadsheet said Giulanelli expects a deal to be thrashed out for the Los Blancos striker this week. The Italian had tweeted via his official Twitter page [@EmaGiulianelli]: “Imminent closing for Benzema to Arsenal – Tuesday could be the days of medicals and announcement.”

This is coming after claims of a £48m agreement between Arsenal and Real for the player’s transfer. Former football and transfer ITK Rodney Marsh said via talkSPORT: “I had a phone call from a mate of mine, and he’s been right on many things.

“He said that he believes Real Madrid have accepted a bid somewhere in the region of £48m for Benzema from Arsenal.”

If Giulianelli and Marsh’s claims are true, then what could Benzema’s Instagram post be pointing to? The striker wrote: “KB9 î™–î™–/ Come back soon…”. Many have now suggested he is not even thinking of an Arsenal move, but a Real comeback from injury.

However, if the deal pans out successful for the Gunners they would be getting a true potent goalscorer. The 27-year old former Lyon forward has scored 133 goals in 281 appearances for Los Blancos, and he would score aplenty for the FA Cup champions, with the team littered with creative attackers.
