In the last few weeks, there has been one report to the other linking Barca’s Pedro Rodríguez with a move to Manchester United. Some reports even claim the red devils have agreed personal terms with the player and he could be announced as their latest signing before this weekend’s premier league game.
However, if newer reports from Spain is anything to go by, Chelsea might have beaten the red devils to the signing of the player in a shocking move. According to Spanish reports this morning, Pedro is on a plane to London to undergo a medical with Chelsea with personal terms agreed with the player and fee agreed with Real Madrid.
If the reports are true, it will be a case of hijacking the hijacker as it was Chelsea who were said to be closest to signing the player few weeks ago before Manchester United reportedly hijacked the deal.
And should the report be true, it may have a big implication for Chelsea’ reported move for Griezmann as I personally can’t see how Chelsea will still sign Griezmann if Pedro is on the way to the club.
However, even though many Chelsea fans will prefer to sign Griezmann ahead of Pedro, Pedro is equally a very good player and he will offer the blues what the likes of Willian, Oscar and Ramires who have played on the wing alongside Hazard cannot offer the club.
